SBC PureConsult was founded in 2001 as a small IT consultancy dedicated to the implementation of Citrix Presentation Server (now XenApp) and Remote Desktop Services based projects. Over the last 9 years we have carried out several long term projects in various industry sectors, and in several cases pioneered custom solutions for implementing other vendor's software upon a virtualised application delivery platform. We have enjoyed success in both the Hospitality and Leisure markets and Communications Regulations sectors. We defined the standard for delivering Micros Fidelio's Opera PMS/ORS product via Citrix Presentation server and have completed projects for a number of top tier hotel companies. We have developed specialist knowledge for the best practice behind implementing LStelcom AG SPECTRA series of applications in a Citrix XenApp environment.

Swire Hotels leads with cloud based approach to delivering Opera - August 2010, Bristol.

Swire Hotels UK, part of the Hong Kong based Swire Properties group has successfully completed a project to deploy Micros Fidelio's Opera V5 product using Citrix XenApp 6 to one of their UK based properties. Steve Walker of SBC PureConsult worked with their IT staff to design and implement a data centre hosted virtualisation platform running VSphere ESXi4 which concentrates all database and presentation functions within a secure and resilient centralised cloud platform.

LStelcom AG SPECTRA implementation completed for UK telecommunications regulator - May 2009. Working within a large project team we provided specialist Citrix consultancy to design, implement and support the deployment of the SPECTRAemc, SPECTRAplus and SPECTRAsc within a tiered test and production environment on Citrix XenApp 5.0.

Thistle Hotels completes roll out of Micros Fidelio's Opera Suite - 1st March 2005

Thistle Hotels have today concluded the successful delivery of Opera to all 18 primarily London based hotels using Citrix MetaFrame XP and Microsoft Terminal Server. SBC PureConsult has provided the technical design and implementation services to make this a possibility, as well as helping Thistle to deliver a world first within the hospitality business.

De Vere Group deliver Micros Fidelio's Opera Reservation System using Citrix - December 2004

In another Citrix based deployment, Micros Fidelio's Opera Reservations System has been successfully deployed in record time for De Vere Group using SBC PureConsult's proven Terminal Server / Citrix design. This marks another implementation of a central reservations office solution for hotels that builds in dual data centre redundancy and vast scalability opportunities.

Thistle Hotels deploy Micros Fidelio's Opera Suite 27/10/03 - Opera User Group 2003, London

Thistle Hotels have today announced details of their deployment of Micros Fidelio's Opera Central Reservations System using Terminal Services and Citrix MetaFrame. In this announcement, Bryan Steele, IT Director of Thistle Hotels explained how SBC PureConsult has been working closely with Thistle and in conjunction with Micros Fidelio to deliver the Opera suite of hospitality management applications to all of its 56 UK properties. In addition, the Opera Property Management System or PMS will begin rollout to 18 London properties within the week, again using Windows 2000 Terminal Services and Citrix MetaFrame as the main delivery method. In this development, the delivery of Micros Fidelio's ORS has been significantly enhanced through the use of modified client workstation handling and compressed print tunnel management. In this project, SBC PureConsult has developed a custom ActiveX control which allows the Opera suite to be delivered using Terminal Services and Citrix MetaFrame.

Radisson Edwardian Hotels deploy ZyLab's ZyImage Suite - November 2002, London.

Radisson Edwardian's ground breaking document Imaging project has reached completion with the rollout of ZyImage to all 12 London hotel properties. The completion of the Zylab document imaging solution for Radisson Edwardian has delivered a considerable competitive advantage to the organisation and realises a long term goal of achieving instantaneous retrieval of customer  documentation covering the entire stay from reservation to checkout.

In just over a year, the project has captured more than 210,000 individual guest stay documents in an online searchable archive. Within hours of a guest checkout, all documentation relating to a guest stay is stored and made available within the Zylab ZyImage system.

One of the key challenges of this project was the inclusion of barcodes on Micros Fidelio's PMS folios, aiding document retrieval.
